Kitchen
This is from a house listed on Tybee we found awhile ago. We aren't looking to have that much wood, and the kitchen doesn't really resonate with us (layout and dark granite not our style), but overall the house has a certain aesthetic that we like, i.e., clean lines, streamlined used of space, kind of zen. Just food for thought.
Like the counter top. Don't want waterfall. We were thinking granite with accents of greys, black, copper, etc. We want to be sure to select material which can handle wear and tear, heat, ability to handle lots of activity, i.e., won't get scratches, etc. We see this as one of the most important decisions to be made for the main room since it is the center piece of the apartment.
This incorporates a lot of what we think we want, i.e., mix of cabinets (open and closed), lighting accents. We would prefer flat panel cabinets. Everything flows together nicely. We would choose different bar stools and the island bottom looks a little clunky - would like it a bit more streamlined and with more storage space. TBD on cabinet and island colors. We don't think we want white. And wood might be wood overkill considering our hardwood floor.
Like the countertop.
