Oh how I love those kitty photos! The rose and Dutty too, of course! I love all animals but have a real soft spot for those kitties! I guess because I grew up with them. Your MAB looks gorgeous, Karen! I agree with you. We really need some rain. We have a chance for some on Saturday, do you? I’ve decided I’ll believe it when I actually see it. I’m tired of getting all excited over rain that never that never materializes. I guess the trick is to leave the patio cushions outside and not put out the house plants. THAT’S when it really does rain, and during the night, when I don’t notice until morning...... Story of my life!
Funny you should mention Honey Dijon, Flowers! I’m getting it as my 2018 Mother’s Day gift from Sarah this coming January. It’s coming from Grace Rose Farm. I’m very excited. Honey Dijon along with Sliver Cloud and Irish Creme, should give me good roses to combine with Koko in arrangements. Now I need a steady supply of filler blooms in my garden. The yellow scabiosa shown above blooms nearly year round, but I need at least one more for those “coffee colored roses”. I never realized how hard they would be to work with in arrangements. I save Pin after Pin on Pinterest, but the companion blooms are often things I can’t realistically grow here. I did buy seeds from Floret for Bupleurum Griffithi. I hope it will work as a good annual filler. I see it used often as such. I once purchased seed elsewhere and not a single one came up. I’m thinking of growing some cutting annuals in my veggie box this winter. I just hope we get plenty of rain. There’s no drip irrigation in there, so they are doomed without rain. I’m growing a couple of interesting Celosia’s right now for cutting. I’ll also save the seeds for next year.
This one needs to be staked. It’s about 6 Feet tall.
This one is much smaller at about 2’.
