Whole house vinyl plank (except for oak stair treads) and we absolutely love it (and the low price). I love seeing the shocked look when I show people the house and tell them the floor is vinyl because it looks so good.
No plans to ever replace it but the main issue would be IF it's not exactly the same thickness as engineered wood. What does that mean to how your baseboard trim is installed - would it have to be removed and raised or trimmed? Would all your interior doors need to be trimmed? Any thresholds to other flooring types? Any issues with it being installed under kitchen and bath cabinets?
PS. this stuff is way more common, accepted and perhaps even desired in Florida than it is in NYC or New England, for example.
