SEED TRADE - I'm trading ☺
-----------------------------------------------
Last edited 2/9/22
I produce all my own seed, so I seldom run out, and my seed swaps are generous. If you have read any of my posts, you know that I use many methods to ensure seed purity; my main garden is in a remote location, and all peppers that I offer were grown in isolation cages. But Nature is resourceful... should you have any problems with my seeds, please contact me directly by email, so that I may take corrective measures.
I regret that the following paragraph has proven to be necessary:
Seed sales are prohibited on GW, so do not offer to purchase seed. I am a collector & preservationist, not a seed company; all of my seed is exchanged through Gardenweb & the Seed Savers Exchange under the rules for their respective networks. Please do not attempt to use me as a seed catalog... such requests will be refused, or go unanswered.
Seed swaps are one-for-one, unless previously negotiated (although I often send extras). Other requests may be honored on a case-by-case basis, if the seed is for civic, social, or scientific purposes. I do make a special effort to get seeds into the hands of Canadian seed savers, especially SoDC members. No hybrids, GMO's, or PVP (patented) varieties will be offered, or accepted in trade.
While I occasionally send seed without trade, please understand that, given the size of my collection, I am unable to respond to most non-trade requests. I love to share - but much of my seed is heavy, and recent postage hikes for bubble mailers have really hit me hard. If you are willing to send a SASE (envelope for small seed, bubble mailer for beans & large seed), I will usually send one variety of your choice without trade. For bubble mailers, please attach enough postage to cover the cost of mailing (presently about $2.50) or send $3.00, and I will supply the BM.
All large seed will be sent in bubble mailers. Solanaceae (eggplant, tomatoes, peppers) and some other small seeds may be sent in envelopes, with tissue for cushioning. Please send your swaps to me with similar protection. Even small seed can be damaged in a plain envelope, unless protected.
One last note... much of the seed that I offer is rare or endangered, especially some of the legumes, peppers & tomatoes. Please make an effort to save pure seed, and pass them on to others.
Descriptions/photos can often be found through a GW search, or through SSE's Yearbook.

SEED TRADE - Soybeans
-----------------------------------------------
Various seed colors (yellow, green, dark green/green fleshed, black, brown, grayish, various bi-colors). The majority are field soybeans selected for high protein content or high yield (the two seem to be mutually exclusive) and adapted to short seasons. Many have protein contents over 50%, with some of these early enough to produce dry seed in much of Canada. Edamame types will be noted. I hope to eventually post photos & more detailed descriptions.
