In spite of what people think about Rubio not being "as strong" as other finishes (think top coats), I actually find it to be very user friendly and much more practical than pre-finished floors or site finished, with a top finish, floors.
The reason being exactly that: the easiness to touch it up. Let me make this clear, if you have large dogs, they are going to damage your floors, regardless of the finish but, with Rubio, you can pretty much fix these issues yourself, whereas on a different finish only a professional could fix your flooring issues, almost always by resanding and refinishing.
And, in case of a pre-finished floor, sanding and finishing is quite pricey.
Personally, after 17 years in this business, I find Rubio Monocoat to represent one of the very few steps forward in this trade.
