Well, my contractor has attempted to install the Kohler choreograph walls above my brand new Kohler Devonshire bathtub - which got nicked/damaged in the process. :(
As a layman witnessing the install, I would have to say that I would NOT recommend installing these walls in a tub/shower combo, such as in my situation. The shower/bath alcove is the exact width of my bathroom wall to wall. This set-up proved to be EXTREMELY difficult for the guys to install because there is zero clearance around the tub for maneuvering without damaging everything around it (walls, tub, etc.). Also, this application is not recommended because we wanted the walls to go all the way to the ceiling. So basically, we were trying to take a 60" x 76" wall with adhesive and siliconed corner channels and put that all into a 60" x 76" 'hole', with no room to maneuver. If we had opted to not put the panels all the way to the ceiling, it would have been an easier install.
It took them 2 days to get the back wall (60" x 76") in and a 3rd day to get the remaining 2 side walls (32" x 76") installed. Also, the walls require construction adhesive in circles every few inches on the back side of the wall, while also requiring silicone to be placed inside the corner "channels" to "glue" them onto the side edges of the wall prior to installing. Needless to say this was a horribly MESSY fiasco. While trying to maneuver the wall in place, construction adhesive got on everything, including the installers. Meanwhile, the corner "channels" that were "glued" onto the wall edge with Silicone kept slipping down the wall before getting it put in place. The guys hands were mucked up with silicone and construction adhesive that I now have to spend some time on getting off the walls, bathtub and the full length of the corner channels. It was quite a frustrating fiasco for them. One of them said this was even the "job from h-e-l-l". I kept apologizing to them how horrible this job was to do. It's not complete yet, but I'm hoping it will look good in the end.
And everyone else who mentioned the white color not being "true" white are correct. They do NOT match any "white" Kohler bathtub. So weird that Kohler wouldn't be consistent throughout its line. But, since my bathroom counter top is Azul Fantasy Quartzite with a lot of grey/whites and blues, I'm OK with the more grey/white of the Kohler Choreograph walls.
