This young family wanted a classic home with modern amenities as they moved from the city to Long Island. The project was a full renovation with an expanded kitchen and the addition of the master suite and garage. We chose a classic blue and white color scheme and added art and accent pieces to create color and fun in the space. The dining room was relocated to the front of the house and painted with a deep aubergine ceiling that adds drama to evening meals. Custom built, the kitchen boasts every amenity while retaining its understated family-friendly vibe. AJI created a sitting room bridging the kitchen to the main living space. In the family room, we added a comfy sectional sofa and swivel chairs for maximum seating. Upstairs, the master suite is complete with walk-in closets, a home office, an exquisite en suite bathroom, and a twelve-foot-long window seat. The finishes create a neutral, warm, and calm interior where these working parents can retreat after the kids are tucked in.
