Here, the upper landing of an industrial loft was transformed in to a bedroom/office. A pocket door was added to adjoin an existing bathroom and custom steel and glass doors were added to separate the space while being used as a bedroom. An electric blackout shade provides additional privacy and darkness for sleeping. A low loop wool plaid carpet was chosen to balance the exposed electrical and HVAC on the concrete ceilings. A murphy bed and clothing storage is tucked behind high lacquer black cabinetry.
