The homeowners contacted Barbara Elza Hirsch to redesign three rooms. They were looking to create a New England Coastal inspired home with transitional, modern and Scandinavian influences. The designer’s approach was to embrace the more classical details of this Foyer space -polished marble floors, coffered millwork on ceiling, grand staircase- by using softer, more feminine lines. Colors evoking the sea, sky and coral pepper the rooms and allow for a very soft look.
