This house, a 1906 Tudor, beautifully decorated in its last iteration, but ready for a total renovation, was to be the new home of a young, vibrant, active family of 5. We left virtually no surface untouched, on four floors. The biggest change? Turning the old kitchen--a broken up, odd warren of cabinets, doors, windows, etc,, adjoining a postage stamp of a family room--into an airy greatroom, with dining and entertaining space, and a big, bright gourmet kitchen. My client, after a weekend holiday, told me she was so happy to be home. "No hotel can compare to how beautiful our house is!" What a fun project!
