Live edge redwood dining table for 6

DYI Small dining table with salvaged redwood slabs. Simple process. First clean wood, remove bark and all loose material. Rough cut to size. Use joiner to straighten inside edge of each piece, accent spline is optional. Use biscuit joiner on each edge, glue together, clamp and remove access glue. Next day, use a planer and plane surface to fairly even surface levels. Use belt sender start with 80 to 100 grit, then to 120. Change to orbital sander, start with 120 work up to 220 surface. Use steel wool for final sanding. Legs can be fabricated as desired, in this case 1 x 2.5" Tube steel, welded, pattern grounded and clear sealed. For the table top I recommend a series of coats using poly or a natural oil such as tung oil. Total Cost of all materials $500. Final product... hade made in California redwood dining table with claro walnut spline...
