Creating a multigenerational family hunt camp was the ideal project for designer Michele Merritt. The client’s love of the North Carolina mountains led to a clear design vision, one that drew on the idea of bringing the outdoors into the interiors and highlighting open beam ceilings with relaxed comfortable living spaces. From a custom-build walnut live edge island bar top in the kitchen to hand hewn beams and the metal-strapped solid beam mantel in the great room, the elements of custom craftsmanship are present in every room of this spacious family retreat.

Project designed by Aiken-Atlanta interior design firm, Nandina Home & Design. They also serve Augusta, GA, and Columbia and Lexington, South Carolina.
