Your other post is still active......see the link below. Anyway, you're right, the yellow is not working! I can't see all the colors in the marble but I'd start putting up some paint samples of pale grays, maybe even taupe, or a white that has a gray base. You need to do a large area of sample paints, and put up 2 coats so the yellow doesn't come thru. I suggest painting the samples up against the edge of the marble for better comparison. I have noticed on Flip or Flop when they do bathrooms now they always seem to have a stainless steel/metal type edging......I have seen it for the last two years....ask your tile store or tile setter about this optiion.....it is a silver tone and seems to go with anything....do some research.

The blue-toned minty greens are not the right color with the yellow/orange-based red of cherry. You can see that the olive green in the slate looks great with the cherry and the rusty red of the floor tile. Don't introduce a new green with a different undertone. If you want to lighten it up and have it not read so green, try SW Marble Beige. The paint sample strips are great because it allows you to easily see the undertone. What you have now is closer to the Rainwashed strip--more blue than yellow.

I'd be tempted by a white or cream here -- you'd need to bring some samples home to see how they play with the stone and cabinet. I know that seems a bit boring, but I think since you went a bit darker with the floor, it would be nice to go light on the backsplash -- you want a tone from the stone, but to help the cabinets read gray rather than white themselves...
