No, I am a guy WHO is appreciative of the qualities composting worms present to those of us WHO wanna do these things without chemicals. I can spray worm tea, or spread VC all over my property every day of the year without having to lock up the pets and children for a period of time, or make certain that chemical residues don't run off into the sewer systems and into the water supplies of the people in my neighborhood who probably neglect those warnings on all those insecticides and pesticides and fertilizers and chemical products that are, of course designed to cause the user of them to buy another of their chemical products to rectify the damage the previous chemo treatment wreaked upon their weed infestation or lawngrass shortcomings. You're "baited breath" tease lured me right into the "taking offense trap", huh? Sorry, the commas didn't take. This is a re-post: I have noticed that most Vented Gas Fireplaces use 'blowers', while some use 'fans', and many websites use the two terms interchangeable when referring to 'blowers'. One website has a very interesting 'fan' system which is used to easily switch out old blowers. The current blower on my system is: http://www.efireplacestore.com/cui-bk.html while the website for the fan follows: http://www.qtfpsfan.com/ so as you can these are truly fans and not blowers. Now my question is this: Has anyone used these types of 'fans' and are they really 'quieter' than 'blowers' and just as effective? I am very interested in the 'quiet' aspect of the fan as the (dead) blower that I am replacing was quite loud even on a low setting. The negative regarding the above 'fans' is that they are more than twice the cost of my replacement 'blower' should I go down that pathway. So basically I'm looking for feedback from any one who has used these types of 'fans' vs. 'blowers'. Are they really that much quieter? I guess I don't want to umm blow it when it comes to this type of a cost differential.

As others have said, if you like the Sub Zero, and you can afford it, without having to sacrifice other things (including retirement savings) then you should get it, and enjoy it. Absolutely. But if you're choosing it because you think there aren't alternatives, there are. There are many excellent quality clones out there, including the Liebherr, for thousands less. I say this because a kitchen designer came into my house and told me I HAD to have this one Sub Zero fridge. It was the only one that would work in my space. Not true. My research, here and other places online, turned up several very good alternatives in a range of prices with the same dimensions. (She was not getting a kickback that I know of. She was, I believe, just used to dealing with "Sub Zero people" and assumed that's what I wanted to be told.) We all have our splurges, but at least we should know all our choices. Enjoy your fridge!
