Right now you have an approach like the letter T, which is a severe approach. Far better if possible, is to work in some curves. or change the feeling of the approach. Since it's a big job to pull up a concrete walk, instead, you could change the areas around it: Add a small iron bench to the left, on a pea gravel area instead of on grass, and expand the area with the tree or tall bush on the left to have a softer flowing curve from the front of the tree area toward the front step, and have the bench in front of that curve. It doesn't cost a lot of money, just sweat equity to dig up the grass, let it die, and then bury it upside down deep beneath the top layer of soile, so it can decompose and feed plantings later. Then on the right of the walkway, closer to the bottom of the photo - closer to the street? - add another small flower bed to welcome someone walking up, and give them some reason to take their time and enjoy the walk. I agree a larger light next to the door would be a plus as well.
