Need help with guest room bathroom
Comments (4)I believe you posted in another forum, asking for layout advice of the bedroom, but I can't find that now. Can you tell me what is to the right of that right door? I am concerned that your stated desire to have this room be functional for a family needing services at your local Children's hospital is not in alignment with your current plan for the room... for example, I'd want to see at least the size/wall space for a queen or full bed PLUS another twin or bunk bed system......See MoreGuest Room Decor Ideas
Comments (6)is it double duty room? need for it to function as an office too? or do you want to convert it to guest room only? what has to stay in a room? what has to go? something you're especially attached to? remodel and decorating are two different things..I take it you want to restyle it rather than remodel? am I correct? the room has a good potential...love the floors determine the function you need to get out of it, and tell us a bit more about your preferences (style? color? anything we can know in order to be more helpful?) I imagine you'd need more lights..window treatments(even though I don't know whether you need them for privacy etc. But they'd make the space softer). Is the rug staying? if yes should go where serves a function, say next to a bed. But first tell us what do you expect out of this room in general...See MoreSm 2nd BR in rental-need ideas for storage, office/guest room-HELP!
Comments (15)That's a small amount of space. Get a bed with built-in storage drawers on the bottom and a slim armoire with drawers. Check Craigslist and make sure your measurements of anything you add will fit. Everything else should go on the walls--lamp, small bedside shelf, book shelves (though shelves you have could be used as a divider/bedside table.) You really have to give people photos of all four walls....See MoreGuest Room Help! Need side tables, lamp, decor, and dresser.
Comments (9)There is no reason you can't keep the bed and the art. I might think about having the art re-framed. It has dark colors and could be framed in a wood that matches the sleigh bed, get a slightly larger double mat that is not such a brilliant white. Hang the art over the bed so you see it when you enter the room. Think about how your guests use the room. Weekend guests don't need a lot of storage. If the closet is empty you can place a luggage rack inside the closet. If they are watching TV it is usually from the bed. I would place the TV on the wall where they can view tv as they are laying on the bed. A small makeup vanity can serve many purposes, provide a chair for sitting, a desktop, a place to do their hair and makeup. There is one on etsy that may work nicely with your bed. Cherry makeup vanity Matching vanity stool is also available on etsy vanity stool If keeping the art, I would try to incorporate the blue or green colors from the art in the bedding and window coverings. Add a small blanket folded at the foot of the bed, an accent pillow and recover the seat of the vanity stool. Add a small nightstand with a lamp with a blue or green base and a little blue dish where they can set their glasses or phone or watch. Again - on etsy nightstands...See Mored3sp
