Help ID my Grandmother's Iris!
Comments (7)If this is what you think it is..make yourself a plant marker and put this year's date on back of marker, name on front. Start yourself a garden journal if you don't already have one. Take a picture and put it in your journal, just in case it should change over the years. Iris collectors are serious about the names of their Iris. Ask Grandmother if she bought this special iris for a reason. Years ago women wore hats and maybe it reminded her of an Easter Bonnet she once had, or the song that was so popular many years ago. "In your Easter Bonnet, with all the frills upon it."..forgot the rest of the words, but Easter Parade comes in there somewhere. Anybody know the singer that made that song popular and the approx. year?...See MoreWhat the Easter Bunny Taught Me (heavy pics)
Comments (14)Karen, opps, we must of been typing at the same time. Sweet picture, made me bust out loud laughing. TJ is #252/2000 so there is alot like her out there. Luvs, DD does like to shop and then watch me smile. I'd like to think she inherited this from me.LOL OA, are you planning on sharing with us how your using the poem? The bunny has pink tulips and green stems painted on 'her'. Creek, my heart is still sad after reading your post about DD tonight. Hang in there and know we are all praying for you and yours. Jane, I don't think I'm much of an Energizer Bunny any more. Seems like I require more rest than I use to. I haven't had time to do any more decorating but will try to share a few more pictures of what I've decorated this weekend. Will miss your wonderful Easter table and decor this year for sure. Candy, it's so amazing how the enablers here have helped us increase our flatware as well as dishes and decor. I tell myself no more until I go shopping again.Darn It's fun to match flatware on our tables tho, don't you think? I will try to get more pictures taken and posted. Can't believe how time flies. Thanks so much for lookin and commenting! All your sweet comments are so appreciated. Know I care even if I don't get back here to comment in a timely mannor. Hope to see how some or all of you talented ladies use the poem. Punk...See MoreSpring Bonnet
Comments (12)Thank you ladies, I am about to add some eggs I got at Joann's for a splash of color. My friend is moving and asked me to make one for her new front door! The pressure is on, LOL Chatrbug, I wore many hats like that in the 70's as a bridesmaid, and I threw them all out! They would have worked fine. I got this one in ACMoore and with the 40% off coupon it was only $2 and change....See MoreEaster Table decor - Warning...it's kind of tacky!
Comments (23)LOL, enduring! bestyears - Meant to comment earlier that I liked your cylinder in the vase idea. How did your gathering go? I also wanted to show off my deviled egg chicks. Got the idea from Rachel Ray. See them peeking out of their shells in the background? They are entirely edible. After making two, I decided they were too much trouble to put together....See MoreUser
