Crescent50 -- there was not another shade darker than revere pewter on the strip. So I had the paint guy just add more color to revere pewter. He said that there was both black and a tan/beige color in the formula and he added equal amounts of both. I believe he at least doubled the darkness factor, but there is no set way to do that, I guess. Thanks for the comments on the cabs and backsplash -- so far we are thrilled with how it's coming together. I wanted to hire a decorator but we didn't.. so I hope that doesn't show too much! :) pps7 -- I can read the formula off the paint can if you are interested in the color. I didn't know there was green in it -- I don't see any green in it now and I don't remember the paint guy telling me there was anything but a tan and a black color in there. I guess that is why it makes a great greige color!

Our cabinets are a true crisp white with a tiny hint of warmth. They are Benjamin Moore Chantilly Lace. I love them because they look so classic, and they don't have any hint of yellow to them despite what type of light we are getting. Our kitchen is north-facing with plenty of light and the colour just "works". Good luck on finding your perfect white or off-white!

DS painted her's a beautiful pale green and this summer she stained the concrete floors. Looks great! I would use eggshell or satin. You want a finish that allows you to wipe it down when needed. My garage is white, but I'd like to paint it a color. Just trying to get up the energy since it's large.
