Smell the flowers if you can, these are often quite pleasantly fragrant. This attribute does vary with the cultivar. Some smell like Hawaii from a fair distance, others don't offer much aroma.

One of my all-time favorites! Allow ripe seeds to drop and you'll have plenty (and more) plants next year. Or after the seedpods are dried and brown, harvest seeds for planting in other areas. Make a note to yourself that the new seedling foliage looks nothing like the mature plant so you won't mistake them for weeds next year and pull them up.

"Walking Iris" is the nickname I think and each flower then makes another plant. I have tons even though I must grow indoors in winter. It doesn't take long in the right consitions to have a really big plant. Send me your snail mail and I'll root some and send them to you. Marian
