I don't think a calligraphy style would work with cross stitch and would lend more to a satin stitch style. I would look at your word processing programs and font styles. If you use the word art feature in Microsoft Word or whatever WordPefect may have (haven't kept current with that program), I think you may find what you want. With a bit of playing around with the programs, you just might get what you want. If you still want cross stitch, get graph paper and superimpose it on the letters to get the stitch line and pattern.

You have long legs, I have short legs! Pre-washing fabric is the first rule in sewing. The second rule is measure 3 times and cut once! Also, try buying some muslin or other cheap fabric to find out how the pattern will fit your body type. Then make modifications from there. (this way you don't spend an arm and a leg on fabric just to find that after you spent all that time making it, it still doesn't fit well. It will save you time to shop on-line though. Once you find a great pattern, make a re-usable template with some stronger pattern paper found in most fabric stores,(not sure if you can get that from the website I gave you or not) it will last longer than the flimsy pattern paper in the package. That way you can use and re-use that template. I have patterns dating back to the 80's that fit great. I just use more current fabrics, and make the odd modification from the original pattern to keep the fashion current. You will have to probably add a few inches to the original pattern. Look for the inseam info on the package and add the extra inches that your inseam measurements require. Hope that helps.

I really don't think there is....I truly believe that you need to find a good basic pattern and get someone to help you fit it and then make all your outfits from that pattern...making changes as required...most any outfit is a basic pattern....I bought the Kwik sew book and hope to do this for myself...I frankly gave up on pants and just took a pair of good fitting pants and took them apart to make me a pattern...The pants had seen better days anyway but even if I had to buy a new pair to make a pattern, at the cost of patterns these days, it wouldn't have been much more...
