baymee-- Unless this Lawn-Boy has a DuraForce engine (identifiable by the above-deck muffler), the only way I can think of to remove the fuel from the crankcase (other than letting the engine burn it out) is to remove the muffler and let the fuel drain out of the exhaust ports. For a DuraForce engine, you can either remove the exhaust transfer tube to let the fuel drain out of the exhaust port, or you can remove the cylinder head and lift up the back wheels. The air vane governor on these machines (i.e., "the contraption connected to the carb") does make carb removal an exercise in patience. Hope this helps.

Although I had quite a number of real Koi (Carp), most of my fish were Shubunkins. Even my "Butterfly Koi" were actually Shubunkins, not Koi. We never see these here. We get the long torpedo-shaped guys." There are some people who raise all the varieties, however, so that article is not completely correct. Nonetherless, I loved my Poor Man's Koi, especially my Butterfly Koi. They were like beautiful orange angels flowing through the water - some had calico colors and patterns. Two had dorsal fins and tails that were all black. The Shubunkins were much better behaved in the pond. They didn't churn up the bottom and devour all the plants like the real Koi tend to do. I had two huge "Ghost Koi", and boy were they monsters. Huge ugly charcoal grey Koi bred in England by breeding common carp with Koi. They looked like prehistoric fish. Just hideous things. They really churned up the bottom. They never swam, they tore through the water constantly at a terrific speed. And BTW. I found out what the Scarecrow gismo is that you were talking about CD3. Pardon my mistake. No, I had never seen those before, but after having looked at them on the internet, I'm sure I wouldn't want one, but thanks just the same. That was very thoughtful of you to suggest a possible predator remedy. I now have a dog that is an Irish Wolfhound-Border Collie mix. He keeps the racoons away pretty good. Taking cuttings of big plants in early spring or autumn often sacrifices bloom on the big plants. However, if the cuttings root quickly, they will often bloom instead. This is especially true for late blooming sages. Long-day blooming sages are not as susceptible to temperature effects on the timing of bloom as short-day blooming sages. I've seen season momentum like effects on blooming, which seem to happen when the jet stream stalls and extended abnormally hot or cold patterns occur as much as two to three months previous to the anticipated bloom time. I haven't seen a "normal" blooming season for many years.

Wall color isn't all that important to me unless it is a very intense color. My light-flooded bedroom used to be the darkest forest green and it was so dismal and dusty looking! But for the most part I think neutral walls look great; whether they're more beige or green or gold doesn't seem to matter too much. My neighbor just painted her kitchen one shade lighter of a terra cotta and I can't see the difference (but it makes her happy and that's great!) In general, I've found johnmari's rule about "light walls for light rooms and dark walls for dark rooms" to be the only rule that's really worth following. I also don't mind furniture that is out of style. Most of the people I know have those slouchy leather sofas and loveseats. They are not fashionable but they are well made, extremely comfortable and stand up to kids and pets. In a room with the right lighting, floors, scale, artwork, etc. it just doesn't seem to matter. I really don't notice details so much as the overall scale of things. I don't care if things go together as long as they are not screaming at me. I guess I have more of an impressionistic outlook. I have a tile floor in my entry that I don't like. It was put in by the POs and is just not me. But, I don't really care. I guess my rule is that if I can't change something without spending a whole lot of time and energy and money on it, I'll just ignore it. (But as someone noted earlier, if I had a money tree I would probably be pickier.) I have oak cupboards that are probably dated and tile counters but they are all in good shape and very functional, so they don't bother me. My appliances don't match, but in a way that is a good thing - the dishwasher blends in with the cabinets rather than matching the fridge and calling attention to itself. I used to feel that lighting was one of those unimportant details that only designers fussed about, but I have since discovered how easy it is to change a space just by adding a lamp or turning down the dimmers, so I've done a 360 on this issue. There are many things that do bug me, but you don't want to hear about those :-)
