No luck finding a rug to go with strongly patterned sofa
Comments (103)Thanks all! I thought this thread was done, glad to see we are still together! I'm pretty much convinced the sofa is here to stay. It has held up so well to kitty attacks, and I love the pattern. I think I am more tending to going in the neutral rug realm, thinking towards the lighter end, just to liven things up. I had looked into slipcovers or reupholstering the small swivel chair that shows up in some of the pictures (the fabric on it is shot and I would love to cover it up). I have to say I was appalled at the prices I was quoted--even a slipcover was the same price as the chair originally cost, and reupholstering went over the top. So, my goal now is to find the perfect neutral, low-maintenance rug that will get me away from all the brown. Thank you again, this forum is the best!...See MoreBusy pattern chair-area rug dilemma

Comments (26)This is a pretty room with too much Hobby Lobby decor. You've got vases of sticks in display niches. Reminds me of a hotel lobby. Find something you love and want to look at every day to put there. I chose a couple of ethnic artifacts, but it could be art glass, or antique pieces.
