It is probably a man-made product like vinyl or laminate (by the consistent size of the planks and the repeat installation pattern). The product would mimic European Oak with a white wash finish. Good luck. Your area should have tremendous amount of options because of the high-demand for this look in the fashionable places like NY and LA.

The suggested rugs to me take away from the fireplace, which I agree should be left bare. I would, however, choose pillows in lighter colors, actually in the color of the fireplace to carry that tone to the other side of the room. My look is all about color, but your neutral living room really appeals to me; it seems just right for your fireplace and the outside brick which can be seen through the window. Except for the pillows I wouldn't change anything.
