Bathroom paint color? with taupe-pink tiles
Comments (13)I would choose a soft tone of the gray in the tile for your walls, and use a white with a barely peachy undertone. I'd paint the ceiling the same color as the trim, to keep the rosiness going. Sophisticated, calm, and coordinated. Martin-Senour "Owlet" or "Cindersmoke" on the walls, with "First Bloom" for trim and ceiling would be pretty. Farrow & Ball "Elephant's Breath" paired with "Dimity." Sherwin-Williams "Worldly Gray" SW7043 or "Amazing Gray" 7044 with "A La Mode" 7116 or "Venetian Lace" 7119. Then if you wanted something strong added, towels in pink and burgundy, or deep gray and apple green? And a little touch of shiny black - perhaps a black marble soap dish and cup, and a slender black frame for whatever you choose for the wall?...See MorePink and maroon 1950s bathroom
Comments (53)OMG. This is the color of my bathroom as well! And it's been very difficult finding pictures of other bathrooms with the same scheme. (The reverse -- pink with maroon trim -- is easy. But maroon with pink seems much less common.) The towel bars, toothbrush holder, etc. are all pink. The previous owners covered all the tile with white paint and I can't decide whether to strip it off or not. I'd like the room to be original but it's only 5'x7' and I'm worried it will be too dark and oppressive. For a few days I was sure I was going to strip it off, but the stripper I used on a test portion wasn't very effective, so now I don't know if I want to bother. And of course I don't know the condition of the tiles and fixtures under the paint. Unfortunately the original floor tiles -- which were very cool -- are already gone....See MoreBathroom black white and pink ideas ??
Comments (19)I know that candle-Kisa, right? they are fun:) I agree that the pallette is too earthy for smth like blush pink or lavender pink or fuschia pink..but. if you love peachy pink -that's what could work very well. Do you like peachy pink? Not everyone does-yet it does illuminates one's complexion:) And-it can be very cool with touches of black I think you're going into right direction changing zebra frame. I'll look a bit into what I have saved etc..maybe some accessories that'll give idea of that combo..if today will allow me to do that.....See MorePink bathroom yes or no?
Comments (172)I certainly never expected this number of comments when posing this almost two weeks ago! As empty nesters, I considered our children that would be visiting and using those bathrooms. My daughter and I both love something a little out of the box especially considering we have other bathrooms that can be more neutral. As far as selling it later, we have moved around quite a bit in the last few years bc of my husband's job and while we don't have plans to sell per se, you never know what the future holds. We're hoping this one could be the last one we build. We're still in planning stage and haven't begun picking out finishes, but I'll be sure and post again with an update! Thanks to all!...See Moresaratogaswizzlestick
