I grew a bunch of wave petunias from seed. One was a "flag mix" of red white and blue. The red is pathetic. Just like your picture. The spent blooms look terrible. The next pathetic is the white and the blue (really a purple) are the best. You dont even notice the spent blooms. As far as the water effecting them, it is possible. All of the spent blooms look like that on the red. I am very careful not to "top water" the foliage and only water the soil with a long wand.

Okay, you all have probably saved my marriage. If DH had come home to me holding a paintbrush anywhere *near* those cabinets, he would have flipped. Since I hadn't planned on doing a glaze, I was quite the taskmaster when he was painting them. I made him wipe off and re-do a few areas because there were imperfections in the paint. I kept telling him that they had to be darn near perfect, b/c there would be no glaze to hide any of the rough spots. A few times, I swear I saw a flash in his eyes that told me he was about ready to turn that sprayer on ME. He came through, and the finish is like glass. We've even had professional painters come in and comment on what a good job he did. Imagine all of his hard work hidden under a golden yellow glaze..... I'm likely going to do yellow cabs, but in the pool bathroom. Right now they're 70's brown, and they'd be stunning painted a soft yellow with a glaze. It'll scratch that itch for me, and I can be true to my original vision for the kitchen. Thank you ALL so much for your perspective and words of wisdom. I actually learned alot about myself (and the ridiculous need to re-do things) by reading your responses. I feel I may be just a bit more balanced now! LOL!! Love-my-lil, Your post made me crack up. You're a hoot! And my roots are getting a bit long....time for a trip to the salon! Laura, DH used a Wagner paint sprayer (bought JUST for this project....another reason he'd kill me if I sullied up his paint job!). The cabinets had already been painted, but they were discolored and smoke-stained. We cleaned them with TSP, primed with Sherwin Williams Prep Rite Bonding Primer (made specifically for adhering paint to glossy surfaces..it's spendy, but it's amazing stuff!), then sprayed 2 coats of Sherwin Williams latex paint. We didn't want the mess/smell of oil. Patricia, I bought the valance (of all places) at Home Depot. It was only $17.50. I was shocked when I pulled it out of the package and it was *exactly* what I'd had in mind to make. I couldn't have even bought the fabric for $17.50! Of course, adding my frou-frou fringe upped the total cost, but I'm a fringe kind of girl. :)

My doctor is great about finding any kind of discount cards for specific medications. She put me on a new medication and said don't worry this one will not cost you a dime. I said how is that possible? She said I have a card for it. Sure enough she gave me a card with the prescription. I went to the pharmacy and the pharmacist said yes we can use it but it is for the name brand not generic so we have to order it come back tomorrow. Next day I returned and got my medicine totally free and this is for ever. They entered the card info into my CVS account on file so anytime I get it they put zero for cost. Man wish there were more of those kinds of drug companies. She also gave both of us discount cards specific for our diabetes medication which guaranties we never have to pay over $10 as our copay. I unfortunately forgot about that card and got the prescription filled for 90 days which cost me $90, so when I went to CVS next I asked the pharmacist if there was any way I could go back and use that card and get some money back. He said he thought so to bring the card in. I have to do that tomorrow. I always do all kinds of searches online and at the drug manufacturers website to see if they have any type of special offers on their drugs, surprisingly often they do and it is just a matter of asking for it. Several drug companies have posted if you are having trouble paying for any of our medications please contact us so we can see if we can help you with it. ASK ! You never know and it sure doesn't hurt to ask. I have never ever paid for a diabetes glucose meter I have always gotten them free simply by going to the website and contacting them and asking if they have a free offer, I also have gotten several times the free testing supplies as well. And the little diary books there is a form on the websites to fill out and they will send you 2 more each time for free. I just got 4, 2 for me 2 for my husband. When he was diagnosed diabetic and needed his start up kit and meter etc, the doctor gave him a prescription for it all, we took it to CVS and asked if it would be free. She checked and said no it would be $75 for it. I said no way I can get it free. I just called the 800 number on the back of my meter, talked to one of the super nice people there and explained the situation and that we just could not afford to pay that and did they possibly still have the free special , she said absolutely we will ship one out to you tomorrow over night. It was at the door the next day! They are absolutely the nicest people I have ever had to deal with. I had a problem with my meter it kept giving an error code that was not in the book. After working with me a few times the lady said this is way more than you need to be dealing with I am sending you a new one over night just put the old one in the box and attach the label send it back to us free. I am currently using the Accu-check compact plus all in one meter. It uses little drums of test strips which come out automatically and never needs coding it is the easiest one I have ever used. I love not having to deal with those tiny strips.

Since posts are composed WYSIWYG the preview feature is real time. To delete a picture from a post as you are composing it use delete or backspace on the keyboard as you would do with text. Something that bugs me about this forum and it is the same as it was with GW is that when "YOU" post to a thread it shows as newly posted to (highlighted). Your own post should drive a thread to the top but it should only be highlighted if someone other you has posted to it alerting you to new posts. I dont need to be alerted to the fact that I have posted and the only way to removed the highlighting is to visit the thread just after posting which is kind of silly if you had just posted there.
