Ceiling, Alabaster in flat finish, trim, Alabaster in semi-gloss finish. Because the cabinets are abutting the ceiling and Alabaster isn’t true white, I would worry that a ceiling “white” would make the cabs look drab.

I like the decor and colors they used to stage your chair. I like the blues, whites, and grays. Use those colors throughout, they look good with the wood tones and your kitchen -- and extend the blue paint into your kitchen. Those sconces are placed as if an exterior treatment. Remove them.

To really keep it light, use the same color on the walls. This is pretty yellow for a trim color so stick with warm colors. Greens will work better than blues if you want some color. Since you say your house is open plan, what colors do you already have in the rooms the kitchen is open to? Can you post a picture or even a couple so we can see what you're working with?

I hate to see people spend money to replace what is the ;eat offensive issue. If you love that pink good for you but IMO it is horrible . I would like to hesr form the OP He wants to replace the flooring for god's sake how can that be done without dealing with the rest. IMO the floor is the only thing worth keeping. I need to understand what his plan is . I respect that people can't afford big changes but flooring is abig change to wnat ot do with a ton of really dated stuff.
