I'm jealous! Never seen a white one. What a place to have on your doorstep for your sanctioned daily exercise. I've walked the whole of the SW Coast Path and I think it vies with anything I've seen on my travels for the combination of scenery, history and human interest.

Thanks, guys! I cannot tell you how amazing it was to walk around and stare at the deep rich colors, especially the purples, yesterday morning and this morning was even cooler so I got to see more of the same! After the storm, the cold front moved through and the weather has been glorious with low humidity and cooler temps. Such wonderful gardening weather-too bad it won’t last long! It's gorgeous although it looks like it needs some maintenance. I love the courtyard too and it looks like they did a good job there in keeping with the house. My first inclination was it needed some xeriscaping to soften it up some as well and also not require a bunch of water, but it has a good base to work with.
