What the hey????

last modified: 2 months ago

Every morning I read the news, local, national, and international. I try to stick to what I consider trusted news sources. I’ll often dig deeper into a story if it really matters to me. I seldom take things at face value. This morning this item that was supposedly posted by the leader of the USA kept coming up. I don’t pay much attention to these things. I know that he likes to post things that prods and pokes at others. 🤷‍♀️

So be it. I stick to what concerns me.

I had to triple check this posting, though. From what I can see, it was actually posted by him. If that is true, what is the purpose? I’m not an American, nor a military member, but I can’t understand the purpose of it.

I’m not looking for arguments. I’d just like to know what this is all about.

To illustrate extreme climate change? You will notice from the smoke that the wind appears to be blowing in two opposite directions at the same time.

    LOL, lucille , good eye!

Yes! To illustrate that smoke has no boundaries.

    It must be a PSA.

eta But why is he dressed like that? How does he find the time for these things?

Try this place. I am not affiliated with them at all but have ordered seeds from them for the past 2 years. The germination has been great and you get a lot of seeds. It looks like they just raised thier prices to 1.50 a pack from 1.00. You just reminded me, most of my seeds are planted but this one was not in my basket. gotta go find em. carey Here is a link that might be useful: seeds

If you have fusarium problems, best remedy is to use kinds tolerant to that problem. Your county's extension service office can offer reliable advice. What the Hey Are These "Ruby Gem" Grapefruit I got From Pittman-Davis?

    Q

    Comments (4)
They were shipped from Harlingen TX. Apparently that's in the Rio Grande valley. According to this recounting of Texas red grapefruit history, the only trademark names in use for Texas red Grapefruit at the moment are "Ruby Sweet" and "Rio Star." I've seen though, the informal proliferation of random names just as you say. Do you know if any of the Texas red varieties are known to grow a small-size grapefruit?

Canada had a PM that like to dress up in stuff. He came by it honestly as he was a drama major, I think. i don’t think he ever posted the pictures of himself, though.

eta Oops, he was not a drama major! Just liked dressing up, I guess. There is an explanation for each picture, though.

eta Just came across this article about PM Trudeau

It's 'general bone spurs'. Can't you see the 5 stars on his shoulders?

His belt is doing some heavy lifting in that picture!

It doesn't look much like MacArthur either.

Take note that T has higher rank & insignia on his uniform than the actual military heroes. Real military veterans are sharply criticizing this insulting picture. There seems to be no end to the daily embarrassment many US citizens are subjected to on the world stage.

KW, I was wondering about that. I felt that both Patton and MacArthur would have more decorations than they appear to have in this photo.

Don't forget this pic. He or someone posted it on his Truth Social page. Thankfully it received massive backlash and was deleted.

He's posted so many crazy pics on his Truth Social page though.

My DH is a retired military man. The rank issue was the first thing he noted when I showed him the picture. This picture shows Army heros. My DH wasn’t in the Army but anyone in any of the military branches is knowledgeable about rank insignia and what all those ribbons above the breast pockets mean. This picture is a true travesty.

Sephia, on Truth Social, does your leader okay everything that is posted on his account?

Surely, he has a select group that is authorised to post if he himself is not the poster. Is he fine with this type of stuff?

    Doesn’t he have handlers?

This photo, is totally bizarre. How does it bring Americans together?

It seems very counterproductive to me.

    last modified: 2 months ago

It's really unknown what he actually posts and what others, like his assistant Natalie Harp or Stephen Miller, might post. I doubt the U.S leader would even know how to create an AI image and post it himself. He posts frequently on Truth Social so does see what's posted on it.

He doesn't care about bringing Americans together. He frequently calls the Dems "Dumocrats," says they're vile people, etc. So makes no effect to unite the country.

roxsolid— your comment ” I’m not sure if I’m any clearer on the purpose of your leaders post, though” - please don’t feel alone in your confusion - most US citizens don’t understand the purpose of any of his daily actions either. Note that I say ’most’. Though the numbers are shrinking there are still some US citizens who support him no matter what atrocities he commits.

The felon has always needed it to be all about him. His niece said he's been there since childhood. He brags he is the smartest person in the room on any subject, but his professor at Wharton said he was at the bottom of the class, and another said he was the most G-damned stupid student he ever taught. ( Felon has the grades sealed) But in his mind, he is Superman when, in fact, he is an old, sick, demented narcissist. He called soldiers losers, and that was reported by General Kelley, who was in his administration. No one in his entire family ever served in the military, going way back. Certainly not HIS sons who are getting billions from their crypto business.

KW, I get that. The first time he was elected, I thought ”Well, Americans have spoken.” Obviously, many weren’t happy with how things were going in their lives and thought he could make the changes they were looking for.

Personally, I accept any winners in our elections. I hope that everyone can reach or at least work towards a common good. All politicians have their own special quirks.

I remember watching on the news the violence that happened at your Capitol Building on January 6. And nothing seemed to be done to stop it! The guy in charge let it happen. I thought that would be enough for some!

Fast forward four years, and Oops! you did it again! He became the American prez once more. Obviously, those who elected T again saw something that they needed from him. I’m not sure what it was, but I really don’t count in how your country is run.

He is the elected leader of the USA. I know he has a very different style.

His post just puzzled me. I just wondered how this was working to improve things in America. Like I said, it seemed very counterproductive.

Seems like an attempt to frame our prez as a serious war leader.

Sherry, that’s puzzling to me. Who is you president then? If you are an American citizen, then yes, he is your president. That is how your elections work, as far as I know. It is your system.

He is not my president as I am Canadian.

It’s not who one votes for that determines the leader, it is the one who is elected.

eta I’m assuming that Americans elections are on the up and up.

I think Sherry repeats the "he's not my president" to convey how much she doesn't support him or the administration. I feel the same, never voted for him, but he is the president of the U.S, so by default, as long as I live in the U.S, he's the president. Note I didn't say "my" president, as Sherry does.
