Am I crazy to buy an Electrolux refrigerator?
Comments (11)When in doubt - go got it. I did have a minor issue out of warranty but total cost was less than the warranty. After 5 years- the drawers still work perfectly. Still love the LED lights and the perfect temp drawer. It works great to defrost items, soften ice cream, keep items super cold, etc. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. Mine is tucked inside a wood frame which keeps it quieter. OTOH - I did go for the warranty on one appliance and I guessed correctly. I had a lemon(not my Elux) and $$ refunded. I went with the same brand and the warranty and now over 5 years old....See MoreWe need a new refrigerator. Need ideas and advice
Comments (2)It sounds like those people may have two 36” over/under Sub Zero fridges. I had one in my former home...was still going strong at 25 years old, when we sold the house. In our new home, we put in a 42” French door SZ. Once again, terrific refrigeration. Not a lick of trouble after 4 years, unlike other brands complained about on this forum. I expect this fridge will be the long lasting workhorse our former fridge was. A big plus...Sub Zero has the best customer service in the industry. Comments (6)Yes, there is nothing magic about "packets" for pickles. All you need is acid (vinegar or citric acid) and spices. Mrs. Wages adds a little maltodextrin to thicken a bit, but you can do the same with cornstarch if you really think it necessary, if you just boil and cool the mix before pickling. Pickling spices are often sold in bulk. Do you find they last a year? That's terrific, and important info. I've kept fridge-pickled beets for several months, and they were fine, but have never managed to keep fridge pickled cukes around for that long. Too tasty....See More- 22 days ago
