The Nosey Joe song is a perfect example of how many old blues songs were able to use what were superficially innocent words to disguise obviously seductively suggestive meanings wholly unrelated to what the lyrics seemed to be speaking about.

I appreciate and recognize the influence the blues style had as a forerunner of modern Rock and Roll. I can't listen to strictly blues tunes though. The standard blues progressions make songs sound exactly the same to me, with only the lyrics being different from one to the other.

Stevie Ray and BB King are my favorites for blues.
