Comments (19)First I fry bacon until crispy, remove it and saute diced onions until translucent, remove them and then stir in curry spices...at least 1/4 cup and by the time all three of these favorite scents have penetrated every corner of house I'm in heaven...the rest of the lengthy preparation is just pure bliss. Hunting up apricot preserves, grating lemon and orange peel, adding chopped apple and tomato, soaking dried currants in warmed apple juice, adding preserved kumquats and a hot spicy mango chutney. Then toasting almonds, slicing banana and cucumber, dolloping yogurt atop......the preparation is half the pleasure. I know what I'm having for dinner tonight...lol josh...See MoreJust a few things
Comments (8)I have had insomnia for months now. Sometimes not falling asleep until 5 am then only sleeping for a few hours. I also have been on a diet and have lost 18 pounds so that may have something to do with it. I still have a long way to go and it is very slow. I am a perfectionist at some things, the rose I painted on the clock was on the opposite side - which is now blank. But I will go back and try again. I have found some really neat items in my wood stash that I always planned to paint and never got around to it. And I probably have more out in the shed. I felt really bad when my 9 year old grandson told me one day that I really need to get some of the stuff in my paint room finished before I bought anything else!! Boy, was he right! So, for me the easiest thing to do is paint roses on everything - or to paint Santas. So, now you know what I will be doing for the next few months. Punk, I used my #2 liner for the lettering. The space was so small or I would have used a small flat. And the more I look at the glitter on the snow ladies, the more I dislike it. But since I am teaching it tomorrow I can correct it. Luvs, I remember posting here early this morning but I don't see it now. Must of hit the wrong button. I will be putting some of these things on Etsy but not for a couple of weeks. I have a terrible time trying to figure out the pricing, either I am too high or too low. The snowladies are from a pattern I picked up with the wood pieces in Houston. It did not have the back part so I drew off what I thought it would look like (I like things to be completed on both sides). The other items are just me painting - I hate having to take time to put on patterns and with flowers you really don't have to. This is a little snowgirl and a Santa. The Santa is on my blog, I taught it at our Mobile chapter last week. I was going to teach the snowgirl if we did not have enough teachers but luckily, we had more than enough. Later yall...See MoreOne Cookie!

Here I was hanging around the kitchen waiting for any scraps. She always gives me apple scraps. I mean what was she thinking? All of a sudden there was this big boom and things started flying. I got myself out of there pronto. I mean, I know I'm supposed to stick around to protect her, but it's one thing to bark at strange people and make sure they won't hurt my Mom. It's quite another thing when things explode. When I saw her later, she actually tasted kinda good. I did enjoy licking her head, glasses and hair. My finger is fine, except for the burn between my thumb and index finger. Apparently my mini has been using my oven mitt as a chew toy and the hole was only revealed when I lifted a hot pan out of the oven. Which means beth09 is so right! barncatz, I think your burnt finger is reason enough to have to stay out of that kitchen for at a minimum the next week. And of course for your troubles, you need to be taken to only the best restaurants for dinner. Thanks Mamagoose. I took the chicken way out tonight. I'm making ceviche for dinner. Nothing to cook and any scraps are going in the garbage for now. The latest is my foreman is on vacation 12/20-01/03. Oh no, I'm assuming this means you won't be in before 2018 and no CO? I'm so very sorry. I'd hoped not to hear this news. No CO although they are looking into whether or not Hurricane Irma is allowing us an extra month. Keep your fingers crossed because they swear to me they can get me a CO by January. I'm not holding my breath and it's not a done deal with Tallahassee regarding them allowing us to get the exemptions. The photo of the batwing sink was all I needed to see. How could anything be worse than that? Well that's what I thought last year when we first moved into this rental. Boy did I find out the other day! I thought to myself. Oh dear, but it was. Heart going out to you. These things always seem to happen at the holidays. But it will be such a good story at next year's Thanksgiving dinner! Actually it was a good story at this years Thanksgiving dinner. :)...See More- last monthlast modified: last month
