For Pete's sake, if ya use one on yer trunk lid, tie them on tight! I was following a car on the Interstate, going to the exit at speed, when the driver hit a hump in the exit lane, and 2 bikes went up in the air, and fell right in front of me and my motorcycle! Fortunately, i didn't hit anything, but it sure scared me when i think what might have happened. The driver had just hung them on the rack, no ropes or bungees to hold them on!

Ok, let me clarify, I'm not looking to purchase a bike rack. My son has a bike rack that he used on an Isuzu Rodeo with a rear mount. We want to purchase a Honda CRV to replace the Rodeo, but before I look further I need to know if the rear tire comes off to mount the bike rack. A roof attached bike rack will not work for him because of parking in a older home garage--it won't clear the top of the garage. Anyone know if the rear mount tire comes off?

In my main / guest bathroom and the home that I grew up in are towel bars stacked vertically with enough space between to allow the towels to hang free without touching. This provides enough storage for 4 towels with some set at a fairly low level for children. I haven't used hooks before, but you could also do something similar, a towel bar over hooks (maybe 1 bar over 3 hooks in your case).
