Unfortunately we will only be adding a few more seconds of sun per day for a few more weeks. Sunset is slowly getting later and has been for a week or so but sunrise will still be getting later until about January 9.

Don’t rain on my parade LoneJack. 😁 Change has to start somewhere and each year I mark today as the start of positive change for daylight hours however infinitesimal it may be.

Sorry KW, Y'all seem to have a monopoly on the rain lately. You can blame me. Here, the next week will be spring-like with temps 15 to 25 degrees above average and no precipitation.

Our latest sunrise isn't until Jan 17. Bah hum bug!

LoneJack - yes, those atmospheric river systems are wreaking havoc especially in Northern WA where most of the flooding is happening. I’m south WA at Columbia River border of OR & so far ok. It is dry here today & yesterday as well. Was 60 F the other day. Too warm for this time of year & not helping the flooding. But, finally a snow dump in surrounding mountains which will help. The daylight hours deal. Being north, I’m seeing even less than you are but boy, come spring & summer, we have much longer days! Our plants grow like they’re on steriods!
