It’s not really “incredibly naive”, Diana, because I believe that there do exist AI programs where you can put specific products into the AI image. And I believe there are some that have this capability that are outside of actual vendor sites - (i.e. not related to a specific vendor such as Amazon, etc., etc.) I have not used ChatGPT for my AI images, so I don’t know the extent of that platform’s capabilities.

This lavender purple may be a bit lighter and even more muted shade than the one you like, but also depends on the lighting in your space.

If you can’t find this rug, you could consider having it custom made... the exact or similar.

You can also do an image search, but I think finding something similar-but-not-exact is usually the way to go when you see a room with one terrific item. Who knows where that rug came from? The important question is can you find something similar enough to make you happy?

This one is NOT black and white, but very pretty.

That’s a really nice zebra rug, RedRyder. I like the brown tones in it. And I like the style of it. The OP is looking for purple, though, and purple tones more on the muted side. Muted purple and beige/cream, I think. Along those lines.

Regarding AI: The truth is that AI draws from a vast catalogue of information. And much of this information comes from ”real life”. So whether or not any given specific product (such as a rug) was actually placed into an AI image, said specific product might still potentially wind up in the AI image. Also, it depends on the AI platform that the image is created on, the word prompts that were used to create the image, etc., etc.

For example: Sometimes when I create my AI images, I specifically request Fortuny (throw) pillows. So, then what does AI do? AI says, ”Your wish is my command” :) - and AI proceeds to search the entire Globe (and possibly the entire Universe) for Fortuny pillows. Do Fortuny pillows exist in the real world? Do you think that AI does not know what Fortuny pillows are? or where to find them ? Do you think that some of the ‘Fortuny pillows’ that AI puts into my images are not possibly actual replicas of exact Fortuny pillows that could feasibly be found in the ”real world” ???
