Nonnas on Netflix

last year

I watched it last night. A good movie, based on a true story. Susan Sarandon, Vince Vaughn, Brenda Vaccaro and others.

Thanks for the reminder. Sounds like the perfect antidote to so much controversial news every day.

It was sweet, and I was thinking it could be a sweet series. (DH and I were wondering where the busboys, servers, dishwashers, and prep people were.)

I found it just OK. As with most Netflix shows & movies not a lot of substance. I admit, I am very picky about what I watch.

I enjoyed it. A very sweet movie. It did make me hungry although not for one dish they featured. Watch the credits and you'll see some of the real Noonas

I haven't seen Susan Sarandon in ages. Always liked her acting.

My friend loved it and recommended it. I have it in queue for the next time DH is gone.

Just craving some fluff to watch. Thanks. Too much heavy in the world. Need a break.

Watched it. Eh-too syrupy for me.

It brought back my childhood. My Nana made her own philo dough! I can see it now, dough rolled so thin it covered the entire metal kitchen table. And the celebration towards the end brought tears to my old eyes. I knew those people long ago.

True, not a lot of substance but I really enjoyed it..
