I've bought teeth whintening tooth paste but don't see any diffrence. I think some are done too white and don't look natural. Ran into a friend at the groc, store and when she smiled I think she saw my reaction to her white teeth. Some time later ran into her again and they were back to normal so apparently you can undo it.

I have such a conglomeration of repaired 'teeth' that I'd be afraid to try. There's one bridge, several crowns, and a variety of composite fillings. I'm 'pre-WWII' and 'pre-floride'.

I have tried one of the toothpastes (Crest?) years ago, but I hesitate to go any further, even tho I am unhappy with how much staining I have. I am concerned about weakened enamel and heightened sensitivity.

I use Crest 3D Whitestrips once a year, and they work well for me. I think the last package said ”18 levels whiter.” Definitely not 18 levels but a noticeable difference.

Years ago I tried a toothwhitening pen which actually worked nicely. I am pretty sure I got it on QVC and then after found it on ebay , back when ebay was in my repertoire. They worked nicely- not overly but they definitely worked.

I think the formula changed or something, and then I tried Crest Whitening strips. I use them from time to time, definitely more than once a year- probably a few times a year.

I don't have blindingly white teeth, but they had gotten yellow ish and they're definitely much better.

From time to time, someone will comment that my teeth are NOT yellow ..when I go to the dentist they comment that-- haha. Anyway I think the Crest ones work fine.

Years ago I used the whitening strips, at first they seemed to work, later not so much. Now I just use whitening toothpaste like Optic white or Crest 3d white. Not a big difference but not bad for 78 year old teeth.

carolb and others, if you want to just remove staining from things like coffee, tea or berries, these whitening mouth washes are safe and effective. Use them daily — hold the liquid in your moth and swish. Do not rimse after.

There are a number of brands, here aretwo that wefind helpful. Very gentle, use daily.

Thanks to everyone who offered information. Much appreciated. I think I'll give the strips a try, then maybe use one of the mouthwashes to keep it going.

I use the "snow" whitening pens with their uv light mouthpiece and have been using these products for years and I am pleased with results. No sensitivity problems
