Mirror between windows

I want to hang a large mirror between two windows in my office. The windows are approximately 31in x 70in. I have 43in between the windows. I bought this mirror which is 24inx58. The purpose of the mirror is functional. I would like to see my pretty self from head to toe before I leave the house. 🤣 and since my office is right off the entrance to the house, it seems to be the perfect place. My question is do I hang the the mirror to where the bottom of it is at the same level as the windows or do I leave 6 inch on the top and bottom to make the mirror kinda in the middle of the windows hight? Or, do I get a larger mirror?

I’d match the bottom heights off the floor. If the mirror is too high you’d have to stand too far back for a toe to head view of self. Ideally the mirror would be 70” tall like windows but I’d work with what you have. Honestly though - even though you aren’t asking for plant advice, I want to cut that pothos into many pieces & root them all & then plant them in one bigger pot for a lush looking plant! 🪴

KW, thanks you. I just bought the mirror today and it's still returnable. I know they have a larger version of this but it is wider too. I will have to check the store for sizes. I am sure i can find one that's taller.

About the plant, I have had it for a long time and had no idea you could do that. I will will give it a shot. I have been cutting it back, but it's been a while. Thanks for the advice.

I wouldnÂt put a large mirror between windows and a door. I think it will just be another reflective rectangle there. I think a vertically stacked collection of three pieces of art or photographs, or even three great pieces of fabric stretched on bars, would be nice. A tall plant, something like a bamboo, would be good as well. A floor lamp there would be another idea, to bring more light to that seating area and break up the expanse of wall in an interesting way. Hard to say for sure what would work and what you need with only one pix of the whole space, tho.

Can you place the mirror on a different wall? It looks funny in between the windows.

What is on the wall across from the desk? Thinking it should go to the left of the room opening there since it's functional to see oneself before leaving the room. Otherwise, if between the two windows I would look for a more decorative mirror to go there since it can be seen from the entryway. Move that art to the left side of the left window so it's more at eye level.

Nice office.

I’m chuckling about KW’s comment on your pothos - but I agree with her. Long arms of plants creep me out. I don’t let my plants trail longer than a foot or so, and pothos are super easy to root in water.

I'm not sure that is the best place for a mirror. You could just put one on the back of a door.

It seems odd to have a mirror on the wall there. Is there someplace you can place a floor mirror? Like this. I have one that I’ve painted twice to work with different bedrooms.

Thanks everyone for your input. Answering a few questions. My hesitation of putting the mirror on the left from the door opening is because it's across from my desk where a few times per day I may have to turn on my web camera for meetings. If I don't put fake background the mirror will reflect more than I want to show during those meetings. I can definitely test few different locations of the mirror on that wall. I like Beverly's mock up, thanks for doing that. My goal for the left of the opening is a small table to hold the cut back plant and an accent chair. I have one now but it needs to be replaced with something in a different color. Here's the picture of that wall.
