Your room is lovely; it's unfortunate that some people get satisfaction from being rude - must make them feel better about themselves somehow. When you put the sample against the couch are they different or the same? Or did you not actually have a sample or just the pic of it. If you don't have a sample, I'd order one and see if they are the same. The color is lovely; I personally think it is much more interesting and livable than a darker gray would be, but that's me, not you. It looks great in your space. Will the store take it back if the fabric doesn't match the sample?

I think it looks just fine. Your tones don't have to be the same, just need to complement and what you have seems to be a nice layering of warms and cools. The rug you are considering will tie things together beautifully. Lovely choices.

1. The answer to your question regarding the dining table depends upon where the kitchen is located. If the kitchen is behind the double doors, then the dining area needs to stay where it is. 2. Should you keep the TV over the fireplace or move it to the area to the right? I am concerned about the possibility of damaging the TV by too much exposure to heat. Is that a functioning fireplace? Does heat from the fireplace affect the TV? Is that an air register above the TV? 3. Should you offset the sofa from the wall and make a passage behind it? I don’t know. What are your measurements? 4. Should you remove the furniture and go all minimalist? I don’t know. How good are your knees and back? Going all minimalist could be hard on both. 5. What is your budget for new furniture? 6. How many people live in the home? How many guests do you need to plan for, after the pandemic?

I like it. just copy what the other home did! I like their end tables and the rug. I also like some of the pillows recommened earlier. (6" above the back of sofa. don't hang it too high) can you scoot your sofa to the right at all?
