Our #@)&$*( plumber roughed everything in a minimum of 3" off and I only spot checked a couple of things that were critical before building the walls (stupid, I know!) and due to a waste stack that shifted a few things, our formerly planned 5' long toilet stall ended up being a full 10" shorter, JUST to code @ 50" long. It's totally comfortable both for me and DH who is 6'3 and all leg. Here is a picture of my toilet stall. Basically the front edge of your sink would be where my wall is based on your dimensions. The fact that it's a pedestal will make it feel even more open.

Yes, that should be enough. 120 watts is more than enough. Guests won't be shaving or putting on make-up (except maybe lipstick). I'd even put them on dimmers. Mood is more important than brilliance in a powder room.

I think you can have a pendant that's 10 inches in diameter whether it'll give enough light-depends on how strong lamp, in terms of wattage, it can take, and what design/material it will be..say non-clear glass will give you nicer diffused light, than going open bulb, or metal that will make the light more directed if you're completely rewiring..for example a pendant goes in the middle of the ceiling..then if you can, install a wall light /sconce on the wall where the switch is..you''l need to check with an electrician whether possible..I'm just talking about pleasing proportions and sight lines currently. No idea whether doable in your room. I remember being very surprized myself when I learnt the light cannot just magically hang in the space I want it to be, but has to connect to the box that has to be attached to a stud that has to be in such and such distance from the corner stud etc-but you're probably smarter than me (even just because it's hard to find somebody dumber than me in everything concerning electricity). Or. You can try and do pendant where you currently have the opening in the ceiling..but you might need to go with a smaller pendant. Then the sconce goes on the left to the future mirror. Obviously they sould complement each other. Won't be very easy. But would be an interesting challenge Or. You can find a very interesting light that's flush mount to the wall(celing)..and install it over the mirror...you'll probably have space because the ceiling's high. Many of such (often vintage, or vintage-inspired) lights are free-shaped..they imitate branches etc..and they usually have several light bulbs, so you'll have more light and maybe better distributed. But you need to love the idea.. and for it to go with character of your bathroom Or you go with simplest thing ever-do an over the vanity light. You can think of wallpapering the ceiling, or painting it different color, to show it off more. When hunting lights-don't forget to check out Etsy, eBay, Chairish, besides regular stores. You might not save time, but you'll save money, for better quality, and might give you ideas and show things that weren't even on your radar before. some shops on Etsy-the ones that actually make lights- customize their light fixtures per your request. You can ask for a certain size, etc. The customer service is usually very good. Sellers do care a lot about their repuration and feedback.,
