I’m terrible at arranging flowers, but DH brings me flowers every week. So I started watching some videos on techniques. This one about tapes was very helpful, as was the suggestion to cut dozen roses into three heights, 7, 4 and 1, with one being the tallest to go in the middle. I can’t believe that I used to just stick the whole thing into a vase, then wonder why it looked so blah. I also started using some interesting foliage from my yard to add color, texture and shape. I bought some antique/vintage flower frogs that I use, and learned to pick the right type of vase based on the flowers.
