Help: paint not covering indentations in pressure treated wood
Comments (3)I would expect that you will be able to see that there are indentations under the surface coat, even after several applications. However, I don't understand why the coating would not go into the indentations and seal them. Are you saying that you can see raw wood in the bottom of the indentations? In addition, I hate to say this, but I would be concerned about applying a non-breathable coating on the surface of this lumber, because there is always some residual moisture, and it may want to get out in a hot greenhouse environment...causing release of the coating or bubbling in places. Finally, I have seen bleed-through happen with painting over certain wood surfaces. I just don't know if you will have it with the combination of epoxy and treated lumber....See MorePaint or Stain Pressure Treated Decking

Comments (1)1. Yes. I have used that primer on PT decks, lasts many years as a good exterior wood primer. Flood it on and backroll it to work it into the pores completely. 2. No. Most of the painted decks we do are finished with a non-skid paint. I do not recommend this coating for residential use. It is high cost, high maintenance, and ugly to boot! Perhaps someone knows of a good solid color deck paint....See MorePressure-treated wood?

The chemical they all use for the wood on windows will not nor does not react with metals at all....See MoreRelated Professionals
