All this talk about SOH, I saw some in a nursery the other day and bought one - Ceropegia woodii. The label reads: "One of the hardiest of all basket succulents. Hearts can be grown almost anywhere indoors or outdoors, sunny or dark. Long tentrils can grow a metre or more in a season and fill a pot very fast.......... Large number of potatoes form inside the pot to store food and water so plants can live for many months without water......." So I split it in two and put them up in a tree about 2 metres above the ground. We're just in the middle of a tropical downpour at the moment, 29.2mm in the last half hour. Hope it doesn't get washed out of the tree as I didn't anchor it all that well. But I'm not going out in this to check, too much close hit lightning.

I’m very late to this as the initial comment was made in 2007. But it literally just occurred couple hours ago and I need somewhere to vent. We were walking up my driveway when I heard a thud from our large oak tree. It sounded like a branch crashing. We were sickened to see a squirrel laying there. His eyes were moving, so my gf and I who are big animal lovers called the nearest vet who takes wildlife and they said for us to try and capture it. Suddenly while on the phone to our shock & delight the squirrel jumped up and ran up the tree only to fall a second time. I can’t describe to you how sick I felt watching This now for a second time. The poor thing My heart sunk and still does as I write this. And we blame ourselves for maybe startling it back up, although who’s to know what he would have done. It got up once again, tho this time not as agile and ran behind a play house we had built for our kids wgen they were little. It must have fell 20 plus feet. We tried gently coaxing it into a box and than a cat carrier with an hour gone by to no avail As it limped in fear away from us. We decided at this point we were perhaps doing more harm than good & finally left the box with a blanket, hoping maybe it would rest inside for it’s final moments. I checked just now & it has passed. My prayer is that it went quickly without any further harm. This was such a horrible thing to witness as an animal lover for both of us. You feel helpless and at the same time our efforts were in vain. I wish there was some type of wildlife rescue in my area for such things. But we’re lucky that there’s even a vet who’s willing to see them, providing you can catch them. I don’t share this to dishearten anyone, but wanted to share so anyone who may read this will know there not alone in such things. And the only thing you can do is your best to try and save it. In the end it’s in God’s hands. Peace and love

This is Wonderfull!...Blue Birders my hats off to you! Bare with me...I'm a little scattered and my time is limited. First things first .....I know this sounds lame but my internet provider for my home computer has not given me the service that I was paying for so I have no service at this time. I'm going to take care of that hopefully this weekend.I'am able to log on at work to do some things in between the work that I do. I'll post photos as soon as I start new internet service. I was concerned with the present conditions for Harry & Sally. So before I signed on to the forum I tried to contact the good people at NABS. A gentlemen there called me yesterday evening we talked for 30 min or so and gave he me advise I will always keep in mind ..... he said try not to fix things before they happen. I must have done something good if they came to that box. I'm going to make the neccesary changes to bring this box up to specs as it stays mounted to the pole.(wren guard,stove pipe) It dosen't open so I'm going to put a bigger roof (and a nest cam) on it and acess it by removing the roof for now. There is one off spec that I don't want to mess with. The hole height dim from the floor to the hole itself is .75 short of 5.75. I peeked in the hole and noticed that there is nesting material.I will be removing the roof this weekend. I'm expecting it to be empty. It's too late for babies right? When I get my ducks in a row.... I'll be back Thanks

What a beautiful dog. I am so sorry! We lost our beloved “Annie” years ago (we got her on our Anniversarie :) She just laid down and died by the door we had left out of. It felt like she was waiting for us to return. The pain is real. I’m glad you experienced such a wonderful pet
