Help with color selection for bathroom update
Comments (7)I love white beadboard with a color on the wall above -- whatever color makes you feel uplifted, or energized, or calm, or whatever you want to feel to start and end your day on the right step. When you determine what you want to feel, you can google color psychology, then pick your favorite. For a vanity, my favorite is a sink set into an antique piece of furniture. I'd check Craigslist for the furniture and the mirror. You can see it in person before buying, save money, meet nice folks and make them happy, and your money goes right back to your local economy. A 1930's tudor sounds dreamy. I hope you'll post pictures when you're done so we can all oooh and aaah over your talent!...See MoreBathroom vanity update & bathroom cabinet painting
Comments (1)I would replace both counters and sinks. The sinks do not match so even if you do (sort of) match the brown counter they will not look like they go together....See MoreKitchen update help plus bathroom
Comments (7)I don't think changing the cabinet finish or flooring is going to give you a change worth the costs. Elements that might need updating are the 4" backsplash, two level island and some space lost with the built in desk. I don't know anyone who really uses those kitchen desks ;0) I like contrast of the bathroom floor. Or at least, like it enough to not want to go through the mess of tearing it out and replacing it. Does it tie into the vibe of the rest of the house. Good advice is to move in, live there, then decide what works for your lifestyle and what doesn't....See MoreEasy bathroom updates for green bathroom?
Comments (18)I like the open vanity so that you can see the floor beneath it. It makes the room feel bigger than it is. I would just lighten it up with white paint and a new white countertop. I’d also hang pretty curtains, possibly cafe curtains, so that you have privacy but still have light coming in. I’d hang canvas art above the toilet with an image you love to look at to give the room some of your personality. I’d paint the walls white and use white curtains to bounce the maximum amount of light around the room....See MoreRelated Professionals
