help my guest room out with some wall art suggestions - thanks!
Comments (6)@quaker8 - You said you’re open on furniture arrangement so I have to ask you if the bed can come off the wall the desk is on? Many aren’t comfy sleeping under a window & what if your guest wants to read in bed? They’d be messing up the blinds on the window with their pillow bunched against the blinds. I can’t see where the door to the room is - a couple more pics from corners by window would help. You said you’re done furnishing - do you plan to have a bedspread or covering of some kind? I’d pick that out before looking at art & use the colors of spread for art choices. What about window treatment of drapes to close for more privacy? If your city / state has parks, monuments, buildings etc that are nationally recognized, maybe posters of those places which can be inexpensively framed with ready made frames would give the room some color & warmth....See MoreWall art suggestions for home gym?
Comments (7)I'm all about choosing art you like and not art that "matches the space." I don't see the space as being at all restrictive as to what you could hang there, although I would probably choose something fairly large to be enjoyable from Peloton distance. Hilma af Klint seems like a perfectly fine choice if her work appeals to you....See MorePlease help with rug and artwork suggestions for this living room
Comments (10)this is Prampton+Machine woven at Wayfair.com an inexpensive modern rug that would look nice with your sofa... I'd forget the matching mirrors nothing fantastic to reflect. a white ceiling fan to disapear into the ceiling, not stand out. lift the plants off the floor with stands, and add drapery panels extended beyond the trim on the window (rod at ceiling height to draw eye upward) . the symetrical lamps on the sofa table are too matchy, try a floor lamp Any thought on spinning the sectional and having the sofa table exposed, for a softer cozier seating area? a lower larger coffee table or ottoman? Don't go too light on the floor, you want to see some grain, but I think your options are great. group your greens, too many scattered around justs makes too much visual stimulation. this rug looks better in person....See MoreArt suggestions for entryway
Comments (23)I can't believe I am saying this as an artist, but I think a tall brass framed mirror would be more useful in the entry way as this is your drop zone. I like both pieces of art but if they are displayed together the frames should be unified. Easiest way would be to paint the black frame gold or brass to tie to the other brass fixtures. You could get a larger mat and frame for flower to make both frames the same width. Then you could put the dancers on the top to be at eye level. They have lighter line weight and the flower has heavier color which would be better on the bottom. Maybe a plant as in Maureen's photo could fill the gap between art and the jar, or elevate jar on stack of books or a box....See MoreRelated Professionals
