Comments (5)I like my first idea best as far as use of space. I know people say not to put toilets on an outside wall. We had one in our last house in Iowa, but we had 2X6 construction. I don't know how high your window is, but I'm guessing the toilet would fit under there. The shower would be 5 feet long or shorter if you want a wider space to get to the toilet. (kind of tight the way I have drawn). You could do a 5 and half foot long shower and do an angled door at the left end to allow room between the shower and toilet. The vanity would be about 7 feet long, unless you do a 60 inch vanity with a linen cabinet at the door. I would reverse entry door swing if you do that.. The second top right could work and you would still have a small closet. The bottom left plan would require waterproofing your front window. Hopefully someone will give you other ideas. The bottom right plan is bigger, but no closet. Each square equals 1 foot....See MoreSmall master bedroom layout and colors
Comments (40)Things are slowly coming along. I've purchased a headboard, new bedding, and I've found a couple of art pieces I like that are very similar in colors to the inspiration picture. I haven't been able to find a one piece roman shadebig enough but I have found a black out shade at Ikea that I would probably dress up with panels if need be. My last big decision now is paint color. Any thoughts? Here is the inspo pic (top) and the 2 art pieces I'm considering for above the bed. I know I need to keep it light since the room is so small but I don't want it to be too boring either. I dont even know where to start....See MoreSmall bedroom layout
Comments (3)When you look at a floor plan, it is hard to get a feeling for just how low that attic ceiling is going to be. It would be interesting to take these plans and draw a line at where the ceiling goes below 6’ in height. Anything below that height is going to be hard to live in and would be preferable to use for closet and casement furniture area. You might not want to have beds under low ceiling height for comfort reasons. There seems to be a large wide hall that is not space well used. Is that a bonus room, or am I reading through a transparent sheet of paper?...See MoreHelp w/ layout of small, narrow kitchen/living/workspace in 1 bedroom
