Help...Dining room what’s missing
Comments (30)Love the art and wouldn’t add drapes, so as to keep the clean lines. Since a chandelier is not dictating where table is placed, would the space allow for a narrow console or side board under artwork if you shifted the table down a bit. It will ground the wall and you can add a lamp for extra warmth and low lighting and save you big time instead of installing a chandelier. Bonus with piece is extra storage/serving surface and once accessorized, a more interesting space....See MoreOdor in Living Room - not sure what’s causing it? The remodel?

Comments (41)Bright colors. I think your brown woods and gray flooring clash with each other. How about painting the coffee table? Maybe gray to pick up the tones in the flooring, or something unexpected, like yellow, orange, or acid green. If that's not your cup of tea, how about a navy printed throw and some coordinating (NOT matching) throw pillow? Carry the idea over to the mantle with funky candle holders or maybe a mini collection of blue and white vases or jars. The mirror is ripe for DIY adventures. Look for videos about 'dipped' mirrors and painted mirrors. The light fixture is dated. There are some great DIY videos that show how to make a modern bamboo 'basket' light fixture out of dollar store wastebaskets. A can of spray paint (gold, silver, or an exciting accent color) could really bring the whole thing home. You have some great things to work with and it won't cost much to take your living room to the top. :)...See Morewhat’s a good white color wall for this room?
Comments (2)Your best bet would be to get the bedding first then match the white in the bedding for the walls. I usually take a piece of the bedding with me to the paint store, that often helps a lot. But I also make sure I take it outside to see it in the light because the fluorescent lights can make the colors look different. Then I take the color, usually a sample can, and paint a swatch of the color on the different walls. Once it has dried I watch to see what it looks like throughout the day as the sun moves through the room because different times of day cast shadows and can make the color Look different at different times of the day. It looks like it’s going to be a lot of fun for you and your daughter. She will have a beautiful new room. Best wishes....See MoreRelated Professionals
