Welcome back deltabreeze, I remember your room. It is really coming together. I love your red lamps. I think the carpet tiles would look great in your room. I like a chair on either side of your fireplace. I agree with les about the round ottoman being used by the fireplace and the colors in the fabric she picked out are perfect - yellow and red. Not sure I would put an ottoman in front of the sofa, it will crowd the room. If you feel you must have something, I think it should be something the gives the room an open feeling - small oval table with thin legs? I just got an oval table for my family room and I was so surprised at how much smaller it appears in the room and how much larger the room feels. It is also easier to get up from the sofa without something square being there. Previously we had a wicker trunk for a coffee table and it seemed very bulky there. Photo below so you can see what I mean (I'll be posting this room for a critique soon). I am still hoping for a little pop of red color on your dining room table. Please keep us posted. Well I think you can certainly use a blue but, in my opinion, that blue is not the right one. First off it's so bold compared to all your other pieces that it will unbalance the room a bit. That being said there's no reason not to use a blue. I've attached a rug that would work well with the neutrals, the sage and the dark furniture. The colors all compliment sage and then I'd add a few pops of yellow in the room to top it off. It would be a charge of energy in a relaxed way. Here is a link that might be useful: rug

Hey everyone! I was looking for coffee table decor and just stumbled on this old post of mine. Thought I’d update you on what I’ve done with the space during quarantine. I still need to (somehow?) figure out how to make a cornice so I can complete the upper portion of the curtains. So please ignore what looks like a valance, it’s just fabric thrown up there to hide the curtain rod! I just ordered a round tufted leather ottoman with casters yesterday and can’t wait to see it in the space! If anyone has any ideas on the Ottoman, let me know. I definitely want a mirrored tray but not sure what to put on it yet.

You have to paint Brown color for the roof and light cream for the bricks if you want an antique look because you putting in question you love the antique look you have to paint the gray color for the bricks and Light cream for the roof.
