Going to need to be similar to what you have now as that is a prefinished floor with the micro bevels so you will never get all the stain sanded out of those.

Thanks - how do you know it’s a prefinished floor? We had a contractor over last week to evaluate and he didn’t mention anything about them being prefinished

I can see the micro bevels (small v's between the boards), which means it was not sanded in place but finished before installation.

Don't worry about any bevels and make it the color of your choice. It there are any residual light bevels they can easily be colored with a marker between coats of finish. I'm a fan of DuraSeal Chestnut, either straight or over water pop. It would yield a nice medium nutty brown that would complement the beams.

As dark as the beams will show dust etc. all the time. A robotic vacuum is the answer.

Chestnut is more of a nutty, medium brown. The beams look darker in the picture.
