Simple question and I hope there is a simple answer
Comments (2)According the linked article, late July or August in Northern Indiana. I would move that back about 2 weeks for your climate to early-to-mid July. I didn't notice them in my berry patch until I was removing canes in late winter this year. Cane borers impacted my trailing blackberries the worst and some damage to triple crown. The TC damage was more difficult to notice due less pronounced swelling from the galls since the canes were thicker. I finally noticed the TC damage early summer when the canes, with green fruit, simply wilted and died. I removed and disposed of the infected canes and treated the trailing blackberries with a systemic pesticide. Here is a link that might be useful: Red-necked Cane Borer in Blackberries...See MoreBath tub drain change question: simple or more to it?
Comments (0)The drain "collar" in my bath tub is almost completely corroded and there are black spots under what may be plumber's putty. I thought it would be a simple "remove the drain and replace it with a new one" type of job. Great, I can do that myself. But this morning, after Googling, the drain part I see may need accessories that should be used to connect to the drain pipe. My home is on a cement pad with skirting around it. If things need to be connected then a plumber will need to crawl underneath; no way would I consider this something I could do and do it right....See MoreSimple vegetable garden layout question

Comments (63)In my state we are seeing a major surge in cases this fall. Last week we were seeing 2000/day and end of this week we are seeing 4000/day. Our state government has a website where we can look at COVID-19 statistics for the state. In September we were at about 10% positivity rate and now at 23% across the state. The 15-24 age group in particular has skyrocketing rates, followed by 25-44. In terms of the source of infection, 67% of infection cause is a known contact. 35% infection from household, 10.9% social, 9.4% workplace. Community spread (source of infection unknown) is increasing, but not exponentially like the cases are. In the news we have seen reports of irresponsible gatherings including a recent rave which may have had as many as 10,000 people. Many of our schools are seeing clusters and some have closed in person learning for periods of time due to these clusters. Our hospitals are becoming strained and our ICU capacity is 85% full....See More- 7 months agolast modified: 7 months agopetalique thanked carolb_w_fl_coastal_9/10
