Comments (93)Today I recieved my orders from Lindenberg and Botanus. I'm really quite happy with the quality. I ordered alot of lilies, a couple daylilys, 3 roses, some iris, monkshood, a clematis, and aloestromeria. Botanus goofed up on the aloestromeria though. I had ordered 2 different pkgs of 2 roots. The one pkg had 3 and the other had ...peat moss. I couldn't believe it. I'll e-mail them tomorrow after I have a chance to take a better look at everything else. Last week I recieved lily bulbs from Veseys and Lily Nook. I've done a bit of shopping at 2 local greenhouses and came home with 2 martha washington geraniums, 2 blue veined double wave petunias,1 Ernest Markam clematis, a pink coneflower, 2 yellow and 1 pink osteospermum, and a couple of other basket fillers. I spent around $70 at the greenhouses. Thank goodness that I started alot of my plants this year as I haven't found any bargains. I still have an order to come from Dominion House and the bulk of my roses from Cedar Hollow and Valley K Greenhouses will be coming in a couple weeks....See MoreSpring Fling Notes & Comments: The Final Edition
Comments (27)Mia, I sent Bruce that photo this morning just to make sure his day got off to a great start. We are getting ready to leave the Oklahoma outback down here in southern OK to head up there to the civilized territory. It takes us a while because we always get lost when we get north of the Arbuckle Mountains. It never fails. See y'all in a few hours. Bruce, If there's anything you need us to pick up last minute on the way up, message me. Dawn...See MoreHave YOU found any bargains or deals? May edition
Comments (65)Found this antique toy dresser at the GW today. $5.99. Looked it up when I got home--it was made by J.Bubb in London, early 19th century. Found one that sold a few years ago for $225, but it was missing all the escutcheons and 1 pull. Mine is in excellent condition, all hardware intact and with the maker's mark. I can't believe this beautiful toy is almost 200 years old!...See MoreAnyone found any bargains or deals?
Comments (28)I think this was a good deal. Found at the Habitat ReStore for $85. Lane Cedar Chest w. a drawer at the bottom, manufacture date is 12/12/1962. I'm not normally a big MCM fan, but I really like it! Still smells like cedar when you open it. No key, and it's kinda hard to open, so I may just remove the lock. Tried the Lane website since I found an old post saying you could get a replacement lock for free due to safety (kids being able to get stuck in them), but I think Lane's out of business now, so I think that offer's gone. Pic was before cleaning up. It's got a couple of small dings and a light ring on the top, but hoping that will come out without having to refinish. Just sitting in the corner at the beach condo for now, haven't decided where it will end up (probably at the end of the bed)....See MoreRelated Professionals
